The Management of Africaonline Ghana says the merger with Telkom South Africa will not result in a name change.

The South African telecom giant Telkom bought stakes in Africaonline Ghana, an internet service provider, for some ¢176 billion.

But contrary to typical mergers and buy-offs, the Managing Director of Africaonline Ghana Ato Sarpong says there will be no major changes to the name or logo of the company.

He said the corporate strategy of the merged company is to make internet and telecommunication services available to at least 90 percent of the consuming public.
