The management of Ghana Export Promotion Council (GEPC) in collaboration with Trade Facilitation Office of Canada would organize a Home Décor Seminar for exporters and producers of home décor and accessories in Kumasi on Monday, July 23.

The seminar is under the Craft and Home Décor Export Enhancement Component of the joint GEPC and Trade Facilitation Office of Canada Project.

Mr Adjei Yeboah, Ashanti Regional Manager of GEPC briefing the media on the seminar, said it was to present trends in the Canadian crafts and home décor market and provide advice on new product development, branding and positioning of Ghanaian products.

He said participants were expected to send their product samples, photographs to show broader range, marketing materials and piece lists for discussion.

Mr Yeboah said resource persons would select products that had potentials to be exhibited at the Design Africa 2008 show in Canada.

He said several exporters would be participating in the seminar that would be beneficial to institutions and students to have an insight into current trends and designs for home décor products in Canada and United States.
