Come December 30, the roof of the National Theatre will surely come down when one of Ghana’s finest artistes and probably the leading artiste of the moment, Ofori Amponsah a.k.a Mr All 4 Real stages his first ever major concert.

Dubbed the “Changing Face Concert”, the show is expected to be one that will see All 4 Real give the best of himself to his fans.

These were made known at the launch of the concert last Monday at the newly-opened plush Monte Carlo Grand Cafe at Labone, a suburb of Accra.

Mufti Dabre, Manager for All 4 Real, told the press that this first major concert is expected to be a grand affair, “we are putting everything in place to ensure that patrons have a time of their lives,” he said.

He said the concert is dubbed the “Changing Face Concert” because it would show the development of Amponsah from when he first got onto the scene as a artiste till he swept the largest number of awards at the last Ghana Music Awards.

According to Mr Dabre, also billed to perform alongside All 4 Real are Kofi Nti, Kofi B, the Winneba Youth Choir, A. B. Crentsil, Wutah, Praye and a host of other artistes both from the old and new schools.

“Unlike what we usually witness, this concert will be different. Aside the artistes doing their own songs, they will also perform songs of the other artistes. For example, Wutah will sing a C.K. Mann song and vice versa,” Mr Dabre said.

Most importantly, Mr Dabre stressed that it was going to be a live band affair with no miming whatsoever, “Ofori’s days of miming are over, each and every artiste billed to perform on the night will play to live band music and we are planning serious rehearsals to ensure a smooth-run.”

Communications director for the concert, Francis Doku added that they have contracted Charterhouse to put the show together.

“ With Charterhouse being the leading events organiser in the country, we trust that they will put everything in place to give us a splendid and highly successful show.”

On how much the damage will be, Mr Doku said they were still putting heads together to come out with a reasonable rate since All 4 Real’s fans cuts across both the young and old.

On his part, Mr All 4 Real expressed gratitude to the media, saying how important their role is in national development, “everybody needs the media to help promote whatever they are doing.”

He said there is going to be a brand new Ofori Amponsah on December 30 because his fans will see what they have not seen him do before, “it will be a total live band affair and I’m sure we will all have fun,” he said.

He said the December 30 event would be an annual affair, “for as long as I live, my fans can be rest assured that every December 30 will be for them.”

At the last Ghana Music Awards, Ofori Amponsah won seven awards. It was the first to be won by any artiste (group or solo) since the inception of the awards seven years ago. Otoolege was the song and the album that brought him so much fame.

The “Changing Face Concert” is being put together by Dee Squared Entertainment Consult Ltd, 4reez Westside Entertainment and Peace FM.
