Over 500 kids in the Nkwanta District celebrated Kiddafest last Wednesday for the first time, drawing praises from their parents and guardians.

The event was organized through the instrumentality of Dr. Augustus Tetteh, the Medical Doctor in charge of Saint Joseph Hospital at Nkwanta.

The kids participated in poetry, drama, rich cultural displays as well as hair and clothing fashion display.

Mr Joseph Denteh, the District Chief Executive, pledged the assembly's readiness to support the event and suggested that advocated that the event be celebrated annually in the district. Dr. Tetteh said it was not necessary for children to travel long distances to watch shows like kiddafest whey could become the players and also develop their various talents.

He said the event was an opportunity for the promotion of love and fostering of unity among kids, parents and the community as a whole.
