The hiplife rap duo, Wutah over the weekend organised a party to outdoor their latest musical album at the Oceans Nite Club, North Kaneshie, Accra.

The venue, with a seating capacity for 1,000 people, was full, as fans were eager to watch the live show of Ghana's most popular and renowned hiplife artistes.

The party witnessed the participation of other hiplife sensations such as 4X4, Ex-Doe and a host of others including radio presenters, entertainment writers, as well as music lovers.

At the party, Wutah staged brilliant performances; performances which confirmed their resilience to carry hip life music to another level. They thrilled fans with hit-songs on both latest and old albums.

Wutah’s new 14-track album with good brum-beat and vocals are composed to meet both local and international standards.

When Wutah came on, the crowd had swollen so much that half the people had to stand in the rain to get a peek at them.

Some music fans showed their disgust at screams of “Wutah Fire”. For others however, it was just another light moment so they didn’t really seem to mind since mob mentality has a way of driving emotions and it wasn’t any different.

The duo made it worth everyone’s while because when they started performing, the crowd could just not stop screaming.

There was something really different about their act and certainly, June 2, 2007 will go down as the greatest of Wutah’s annual party jams.

Wutah, formerly known as Ojah- a name they coined when they contested the first edition of the Nescafe African Revelations in which they came second to Praye- are believed to be successful because they always create good music to meet expectations of their fans.

Wutah’s first album, ‘Anamontuo’ with songs like 'Adonko', 'Goosie Gander' and 'Big Dreams', earned them 11 nominations for ‘The Most Popular Song of the Year’, ‘Album Of the Year’, ‘Artiste of the Year’, ‘Best Male Vocal Performance’, ‘Hiplife Song of the Year’, ‘Hiplife Album of the Year’, ‘New Hiplife Artiste of the Year’, ‘Hiplife Artiste of the Year’, ‘New Artiste of the Year’, ‘Song writer of the Year’ and ‘Reggae song of the Year’, during the 2006 Ghana Music Awards.

Wutah's latest album is expected to penetrate the Ghanaian music scene, since it has started winning the hearts of music lovers already.
