As time draws close for members of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) to go to the polls to elect new executives, four more names have emerged as likely candidates for the post of president.

They are Rex Omar, Kojo Essah, A.B. Crentsil and Togbe Edinam Ansah.

That brings to eight, the number of musicians who have either openly indicated their willingness to accede to the MUSIGA top job or are being prodded by colleagues to vie for the position.

The four MUSIGA musicians who have already spoken about their willingness to serve if elected are Diana Hopeson, Stella Seal, Amandzeba and Gyedu Blay-Ambolley.

It is still early to say who would eventually file for the job when nominations open but it is expected one of the eight mentioned above will be in the reckoning to succeed Sidiku Buari.
