At the mention of Miss Metro Africa, what would readily come to mind is a beauty pageant.

However, Take Two Innovations has changed that perception by deciding to use Miss Metro Africa to campaign for a clean Ghana as a means of reducing government expenditure on sanitation.

As part of activities for the main event, which takes place in October this year, the organizers had a dinner dance and a hair show at the plush Earl Beam Hotel last Friday to outdoor the delegates.

Different types of hair styles were showcased and these included sparking large, latoro hair, ternel curls and sheer icon.

In all, fifteen delegates from Accra, Kumasi and Sekondi-Takoradi participated.

The winner of the competition is expected to lead the rest of the participants to campaign against filth in the country.

The hair show attracted personalities such as New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, the former ``NADMO Boss, Mr. Isaac Amoo, Enoch Lamptey, proprietor of Great Lamptey Mills Institute as well as guests from some corporate organisations.

In an address, the Chief Executive Officer of Take Two Innovations, Saint Ofosu Koranteng noted that his agency was committed to offering solutions to nagging problems of the environment, in the cities and towns of Ghana.

According to him, the introduction of the pageant in Benin was a big success and expressed the hope that it would succeed in Ghana as well.
