It is already touted as the biggest ever party to be celebrated in Ghana and with a formal dress code and Kente for ladies, Kojo Bonsu insists “We want to make it a world class event.”
“The whole of the facade of the Independence Square is going to change with the arena we are building to be called the ‘Golden Village’, complete with a huge stage and catwalk for various extraordinary performances which will make the gala an exciting and unusual dining and entertaining experience.”
According to event producer and head of communications, PaJohn Bentsifi Dadson, “There will be many surprises on the night! From the moment you arrive, you will travel through Gold Coast to Ghana, through 1957 to 2007, from Kpanlogo to ‘messop’, from gari foto to fried rice, from chooboi to Agoo! You’ve just got to experience it to appreciate it! We are going to pull everything to put on a good show. We want to bring Ghana right back into our hearts.”
Guests visiting the event, which is a private initiative by Joy FM and Agoo Magazine, supported by GTP and Woodin, Maggi, British Airways, Graphic Communications and TV3, will include visiting dignitaries who have been in the country to join in the March 6 Independence Day parade and State banquets.
The event is also supported by Guinness and Areeba.
