Cocaine trial adjourned due to judge’s absence

The absence of the trial judge in the MV Benjamin cocaine case on Wednesday has led to the adjournment of the case to Monday.

Clerks told reporters who had gone to the Fast Track High Court to cover the case that the trial judge, Justice Jones Dotse had traveled.

The accused persons; Kwabena Amaning, alias Tagor and Alhaji Issah Abass charged in connection with the missing parcels of cocaine on board the shipping vessel MV Benjamin and the their lawyers were not in court.

The case has been pending before the Fast Track High Court since November Last year, when it was moved from the Circuit Court.
