The Inspector General of Police, Mr Patrick Kwarteng Acheampong, has urged police personnel to expose the bad nuts among them to enable the service to retain its good image.

He said there would be no sympathy for any police officer who would violate the laws of the country.

Mr Acheampong who was addressing policemen and women at Nyinahin as part of his visit to the Ashanti Region, said if police officers were to reduce indiscipline in the country there would be peace and order at all times.

Mr Acheampong advised those at police barriers not take the law into their hands and shoot indiscriminately at vehicles and suspects.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Samuel Alordey in-charge of Atwima Mponua District appealed to the IGP for more personnel in the district to help clamp down on crime.

He said through collaboration with the Atwima Mponua District Assembly, there was enough accommodation for personnel posted to the district.
