Avoid vices that affect society - Addy

Isaac Newton Addy, Chief Commissioner of Ghana Scout Association (GSA) over the weekend called on members to avoid vices that would undermine growth of the association and society.

He asked members to cross check issues affecting their welfare with the National Executive Officers to maintain unity and trust among them.

Mr Addy made the call at the Annual General Meeting of the association in Accra.

He said the association's constitution had no provision for the establishment of "concern Scout" and urged members with that ambition to discard them.

Mr Addy urged them to avoid violence and forge ahead in unity to maintain the good image of the association and be disciplined.

He asked the Regional and District Commissioners as well as other leaders of the association to provide the necessary training to members towards the country's socio-economic development.

Mr Addy announced that the centenary celebration of the association in August this year and urged the members to remain united and continue to defend their cause.
