A Kumasi Circuit Court has granted GH¢12,000 bail to two accused persons for allegedly stealing a water pumping machine valued at 5,500 Ghana cedis belonging to Madam Margaret Kyerewaa, a trader in Kumasi.

Peter Mensah and Kwadwo Fordjour pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to steal and stealing.

They would re-appear on October 15.

Prosecuting, Assistant Superintendent of Police Kuffour Boateng told the court presided over by Mr Richard Mac Kogyapwah that Mensah, a brother to complainant's estranged husband, now in Germany lived in a house over which there was a dispute due to the strained relationship.

He said the house was at Asuoyeboa and Mensah resides in the room where the machine was kept but on September 3, this year, when the complainant went to the house for the machine it was missing and she reported the matter to the police who arrested Mensah.

The prosecution said during interrogation Mensah mentioned Forjour as his accomplice and after investigations they were charged with the offence.
