Work on the abandoned government affordable housing project has restarted.

Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing Alhaji Boniface Abubakar Siddique told Joy News that the contractors working on the project have been located and are working feverishly to complete the project by the end of the year.

The project, an initiative of government is expected to provide about 1,900 affordable housing units for workers in the first phase at the cost of ¢200 billion.

The contractors abandoned the project sites at Kpone and Borteyman apparently because they lacked necessary logistics such as cement. But Alhaji Siddique says those issues have been addressed.
