Deputy Superintendent of Police Peter Ndekugri Anombugri, Western Regional Police Mobile Force Commander, has said violence would not solve any problem and those who have genuine concerns should address them through proper channels.

He said this at a Press Conference at Nkroful after a rampage at Teleku-Bokazo that left in its trail injuries to two policemen, an employee of African Mining Services (AMS) and two workers of Adamus Resources Limited (ARL), a mining company based at Nkroful.

The youth of Teleku-Bokazo and Anwia in the Nzema East District last Sunday attacked two policemen and two workers of ARL, Peter Nwiah and Amos Bosomtwi one from AMS, Idrisu Asasen, in their bid to prevent Adamus from carrying out surface mining in the area.

Mr Ndekugri attributed the incident to a few "Galamsey Lords" who are instigating the people to demonstrate against the mining company.

Mr. Patrick Ampong, Community Relations Manager, ARL,
said the company was prospecting and has not reached the stage where actual mining would take place.
