Muslim youth urged to be of good behaviour

The Acting Eastern Regional Chief Imam, Sheik Alhaj Siraju-Deen Ibrahim Al-Hamdu, had pleaded with Muslims in the country especially the youth, to be of good behaviour.

He urged the Muslim youth to celebrate the happy Eid-Ul-Fitr quietly and within the law and that they should " let the lessons learnt from the Ramadan fast be their guide".

Sheik Al-Hamdu was speaking at this year's congregational open-air prayers to mark the end of the month long fasting of Muslims in the Eastern Region at the Koforidua Central Mosque on Saturday.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Kwadwo Afram-Asiedu congratulated the Muslims in the Region for successfully ending the fasting and urged them to promote good relationship with all religions to help maintain peace in the country.

On behalf of the government, the Regional Minister who was accompanied by the New Juaben Municipal Chief Executive, Nana
Adjei Boateng donated 40 bags of rice and GH¢200 (two million cedis) to the Muslims.

The Eastern Regional Society of Muslim Preachers urged their colleagues to be each other's keeper and to respect the religious rights and believes of others by co-exist peacefully with all people around them.
