Bishop Enoch Boateng, the leader of Arise Ghana, which is a consolidation of churches, after predicting oil discovery in Ghana, has once again predicted that the gold deposits in Ghana, especially in Obuasi, was only 10 percent of the total deposit. According to him, the idolatry and spate of corruption in the country had rendered fruitless the efforts to discover where they were deposited.
He noted that very soon, there would be a massive shake-up in Obuasi gold mines, adding that the shake-up would pave way for the country to be successful in locating where all the gold was hidden. However, he did not disclose the form the shake-up would take.
He intimated that the oil deposit was more than that of Iraq, but if Ghanaians and the leadership did not change their lifestyles in a way that would suit God’s expectations, the discovery would be only scanty.
Bishop Boateng, who was once a pastor in the Assemblies of God Church, said the country had been engulfed in sins.
Recounting some of the predictions he made in 2005 which appeared in the media, including The Chronicle and Radio Gold, he emphatically indicated that he had stated that crude oil would be discovered in commercial quantities.
The Bishop said the nation was not moving forward at a desired rate because politicians were in contact with idols to help them win elections and as a result when they became successful in winning elections it is their contact with the idols which brought about abnormal road accidents and other bloodshed-related cases in the country.
Touching on the celebration of Homowo, a festival celebrated by the Gas, he maintained that in future the country’s observance of 'Adugma' (Ban on noisemaking which preceded the festival) would seize.
Asked under what circumstances the period of silence would seize, he responded, "We are not going to fight physically, but everything that is not in line with Christian doctrines would seize gradually."
He said he had received a vision about who was going to succeed President J. A. Kufuor but had not been instructed by God to disclose the identity of the person to the public. Bishop Boateng lamented that, self-seeking church leaders who went for lesser powers to advance their own selfish ends, posed a danger to individuals who sought help from them and also caused tragedies to the nation as a whole.
"All those who seek power from idols and their related forms for commercial, promotional, gains and for protection etc. also attracted the wrath of God because idol worshiping was an abomination in the sight of God," he warned.
He emphasized that although the word of God was against having other gods beside the Almighty, Ghanaians were fond of giving credit to lesser gods, no matter what the Lord did in the country.
He concluded that God would be withholding the restoration until the revival took place to change the mindset of Ghanaians so they would focus on Him and give His glory to Him alone.
