The wife of the hospital administrator who was murdered on suspicion that he was a serial killer is calling on government to speed up investigations to find her husband’s killers.

The woman, Mrs. Cecilia Yeboah-Boateng who is currently a temporary worker at the Goaso Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), says even though the police are doing all they can to find her husband’s killers the pace is slow.

Her late husband, Mr. Anthony Yeboah-Boateng was conveying the corpse of a friend’s mother from the Sunyani Government Hospital to the Goaso Government Hospital morgue in April 2007. On the way to the hospital, an irate mob suspected him to be a serial killer, and they attacked and lynched him.

They killed the man in spite of the fact that he provided documents to prove he was not a serial killer. The mob killed him in the presence of his wife.

The widow who is still recovering from the shock says she needs help to cater for her four children and she is pleading with her employers, ADB, to regularise her appointment and make her a permanent staff so she could earn income to support her children.

According to the grieving woman, any time her children asked of their father, she told them he has travelled abroad.

Meanwhile, the 1997 year group of the University of Ghana Business School, of which the late Mr. Yeboah-Boateng was a member has set up a fund with seed money of 20 million cedis to support the widow and her four children.

Information available is that 16 people who were arrested in connection with the murder are still in the custody of the Brong Ahafo region police.

Checks by Joy News indicates that the docket on the case has been sent to the Attorney General’s Department awaiting instructions for prosecution.
