The Ghana National Petroleum Company has dismissed calls by some Western Region MPs for government to come clean on the exact location of the recent oil find.
Three MPs; Lee Ocran from Jomoro, Freddie Blay from Ellembelle and Kojo Armah of the Evalue Gwira constituency say there are indications that the oil find is in the Nzema area and not in Cape Three Points as announced by government in June this year.
The MPs say clarification is crucial to guide investors and reassure residents in their areas.
But the Director for Exploration and Production at the GNPC, Thomas Manu told Joy News the location of the oil find is offshore and not in any particular constituency.
