The 56-year-old man who drove into the car of President Kufuor on November 14, 2007 made his fourth appearance in court Tuesday December 18, 2007, but the judge on the case did not show up.

The judge of the Motor Court in Accra, Samuel Obeng Diawuo did not come to court and no reason was offered for his absence.

The man Thomas Osei, was therefore, sent back into custody.

The court has refused him bail citing the argument that he would interfere with investigations if he is released.

The Attorney-General was expected to file fresh charges against Mr. Osei.

President J. A. Kufuor, escaped unhurt from the accident after his Mercedes Benz car somersaulted three times.

The President was freed from the accident vehicle by bystanders.
