Former Works and Housing Minister, Hackman Owusu-Agyeman has praised Aqua Vitens Rand Limited, for its management of the country’s water.
Aqua Vitens Rand was given a management contract to manage the country's water sector.
The company came under heavy criticisms at the peak of the water shortages in major cities and towns of the country.
Some individual and groups including the Coalition Against Water Privatization have even called on government to abrogate its contract with the company for what they perceived to be non performance.
But the former minister, under whom the contract with Aqua Vitens was signed, says he is satisfied with the work of the company.
Mr. Owusu Agyeman tells Joy News the calls for the abrogation of government contract with Aqua Vitens are misplaced and mischievous.
Mr. Owusu-Agyeman lamented the fact that after many of years of independence, the nation can not manage its own water.
