The First Vice Chairman of the NPP in the Essikado-Ketan Constituency, Mr. Samuel Kingsley Eshun is rallying support for Papa Owusu-Ankomah, a presidential aspirant of the party.

He said Owusu-Ankomah, who is the MP for Sekondi stands tall among the other aspirants.

Mr Eshun said the aspirant has experience and has effectively managed the ministerial positions assigned to him since the NPP took over the administration of this country in January 200I.

He described the Sekondi MP as an eloquent and God fearing man who had distinguished himself as the MP for the area since 1996.

According to him, Hon Owusu-Ankomah was very instrumental in the developments currently taking place in Sekondi.

Mr. Eshun observed communities like Enoe and Ntamakrom had been connected to the National Grid Project while Eshiem and Impintsin had also been provided with six classroom blocks and good drinking water, among other things, under the leadership of Hon Owusu-Ankomah.

He noted prior to the election of the MP, the beneficiary communities, which are under the Essikado-Ketan constituency, never thought they would ever enjoy such development projects.

Mr Eshun added that as a Majority Leader in Parliament in 2001, Hon Owusu-Ankomah had initiated the current peaceful co-existence of the NPP and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Parliament that had been continued by his colleague, Hon. Owusu-Adjapong.

He remarked that the MP for Sekondi and Minister of Education Science and Sports had been handling a lot of ministerial appointments not only because the President had some special love for him, but also because he was being prepared for the presidency.

He therefore called on the delegates to give the Sekondi MP the mandate to lead the NPP to victory in 2008.
