Listen to Mr. Akwasi Osei Adjei, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister.

President Kufuor is expected to raise the issue of the killing of 44 Ghanaians in the Gambia in 2005 at this weekend's AU summit.

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Akwasi Osei Adjei says the Ghanaian government has expressed its displeasure at the uncooperative attitude of its Gambian counterparts in establishing the circumstances that led to the death of the 44 Ghanaians and some other African nationals.

The 44 Ghanaian immigrants and other nationals were murdered whiles en route to Europe through Senegal.

The Minority Spokesman on Foreign Affairs, Hon. John Mahama says he is not happy about the Gambian President, Yahyah Jameh's participation in the AU Summit.

But in an interview with Joy News, Mr. Osei Adjei said though government is also unhappy with the turn of events in the Gambian case, it cannot stop the Gambian President from attending the AU Summit.

He however said the government is considering other options available to deal with the matter.
