Listen to Dr. Kwesi Anning in an interview with Elvis Kwashie of Joy News.

A security expert is asking government to be firm with its security arrangements for the African Union Summit in order not to be over taken by Libyan leader, Muammar al-Qathafi’s heavy security.

Mr. Qathafi is reported to be on his way to the summit in a convoy of several vehicles and heavy security.

Dr. Kwesi Anning, Head of Research at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Centre says Mr. Qathafi’s security is capable of disrupting any arrangements here and government must send a clear signal to them before they arrive.

Speaking in an interview with Joy News’ Elvis Kwashie, Dr. Anning said he had no illusions about the capabilities of the Ghanaian security to deal with any security concerns, however the proper thing ought to be done.
