The Western Regional First Vice Chairman of the Convention People’s Party, R.K Acheampong has said that Ghanaians all over the country are yearning for the party to take over the administration of the country from the New Patriotic Party government.

He said Ghanaians were fed up with the NDC and NDC.

Mr Acheampong said “Ghanaians had tested and seen the performance of the NDC and NPP and have concluded that the value of the two parties are the same".

Cost of living under Ghanaians have worsened under them as they have no solution to the sufferings of Ghanaians.”

Mr Acheampong said this when he was addressing the delegates conference of the Ahanta constituency branch of the CPP at Agona Nkwanta on Tuesday.

He pointed out that what was left to be done was for all CPP splinter groups to bury their differences and come together as one family to build a strong party to wrestle power from the NPP.

Mr Acheampong therefore appealed to all Ghanaians, particularly the youth to throw their support behind the CPP.

For his part, Godson Kofi Alosake, Western Regional Secretary of the party asked students in all the universities and other tertiary institutions to rally behind the CPP and actively get involved in the re-organisation and re-shaping of the CPP to win the forth coming general elections.

The 15 member constituency executive elected at the conference has Mr Joseph Yaw Nimako as chairman.
