Brong Ahafo NDC inaugurates women’s working committee

The Brong Ahafo Regional NDC has inaugurated it’s women’s wing working committee in Sunyani.

The Regional women organizer, Madam Joyce Mahama Zaynab said at the forum that the women should play a great role in formulating strategies and guidelines as soon as possible for the campaign towards the 2008 elections.

She said women are carried away by propaganda; party jingles and also depends on spouses for political decisions.

Madam Zaynab said for victory to be won, they have to improve on their organizational skills so as to establish links with women, especially those in institutions such as the Police Service, CEPS, Military and other women associations.

One of the guest speakers, Mr. Collins Dauda, MP, said, the NDC is militant but people perceived members as violent, adding that, “everyone must be identified as a Ghanaian so as to prevent the stealing of votes during elections.”

The National Women Organizer Ama Benyina Doe at the forum swore in the organizers of the constituencies and congratulated them for their hard work.

She added that, the NPP has failed its work so the organizers must work hard so as to kick them out of office.

The Regional Chairman, Mr. Owusu Agyemang said women constituted majority of the population and must be given much attention in order to push the NPP out of office.
