Major Derek Oduro (RTD), Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North, has said he would visit some foreign countries to interact with Nkoranza citizens to help execute development programmes in the district.

He said he would visit Great Britain, France, Spain, Italy and Germany.

Major Oduro said his priority was education and he would inform them about the education endowment fund established by Okatakyie Agyeman Kudom IV, Omanhene of Nkoranza, dubbed 'Okatakyie Agyeman Kudom 1V Education Fund.'

The fund supports brilliant but needy students in the traditional area.

The MP said he would seek financial support for the youth who are engaged in agriculture in the area and also encourage them to invest in projects in the communities to create jobs for the youth.

Major Oduro said he would appeal for support towards the provision of computers for basic schools in the area as well as health equipment as beds and drugs for rural health facilities.

The Boabeng-Fiema monkey sanctuary and the ancient slave market at Bono-Manso in the district has gained international recognition as tourist centres, he said, and that he intended to woo investors to the area to invest in the sector.

Major Oduro commended Nkoranza citizens based in Italy for coming together to form the "Nkoranza Kroye Kuo" to help develop Nkoranza and urged other citizens abroad to emulate the association.
