The National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary candidate for the Cape Coast constituency, Ebow Barton-Oduro, has expressed optimism about his chances at next year’s polls.

Barton-Oduro says he will win by an overwhelming victory in the 2008 elections.

This will be the third time the 55-year-old lawyer, whose candidature is being endorsed by party executives in Cape Coast today, will be standing as the party’s representative for the constituency.

He has lost twice against the incumbent MP Christine Churcher.

Mr Oduro believes Madam Churcher’s waning popularity in the constituency is his trump card that will lead him to victory in the polls.
