One of the aspirants to the flagbearership of the ruling NPP Alan Kyeremanten, has escaped unhurt after a car in his campaign convoy was involved in an accident on Sunday afternoon.

The accident occurred between Techiman and Wenchi in the Brong Ahafo Region when an articulator truck carrying charcoal collided with one of the vehicles in Mr Kyerematen’s convoy.

Joy News sources indicated the driver of the vehicle died on the spot whilst another passenger was in critical condition at the Techiman Hospital.

Mr Kyeremanteng was on his way from the Northern Region as part of his campaign tour. A member of Mr Kyeremanten campaign team confirmed the accident but declined further comment.
