President John Agyekum Kufuor on Monday formally received invitation to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting to be held in Kampala, Uganda from November 22 to 25, this year.

Mr Adolf Muesige, a Special Envoy of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, delivered the invitation to him at the Castle, Osu.

The four-day meeting brings together Queen Elizabeth II of England and leaders of former British Colonies.

Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, for the first time, is also expected to be present.

President Kufuor confirmed, he would be attending the meeting and said he would use it to renew the historic cordial relations that had existed between Ghana and Uganda.
