The People’s National Convention has been given the go ahead to organise its delegate’s congress after a court ruling threw out an injunction to stop it from taking place.

The party has fixed this weekend, November 30 to December 2nd for the congress to elect a presidential candidate and national executives.

But PNC first vice chairperson and MP for Zebilla John Ndebugri applied to the court to place an injunction on it saying it violates the party’s constitution.

But Justice Ofori-Atta, presiding, ruled in favour of the party executives saying stopping the congress will cause considerable damage because of efforts to organise it.

Gabriel Scott Pwamang, General Secretary, says the party will have a credible congress with or without Mr. Ndebugre.

The congress is slated for Bolgatanga in the Upper East region. The last two months have been characterised by in fighting and internal strife between the national leadership and Mr. Ndebugre.
