He said the NPP had over the years, deepened democracy and the rule of law, hence the commitment of the party to ensure another peaceful and successful election.

Vice President Mahama gave the assurance when he interacted with the out-going Danish Ambassador, who called on him at the Osu Castle.

He lauded Denmark for the interest and support the country had shown in the democratic process in Ghana.

Vice President Mahama noted that Denmark has been a formidable friend of Ghana in particular and Africa as a whole, especially in the area of health and water delivery.

He said the Danish State had also chosen Ghana among 20 countries worldwide, for socio-economic development.

The Ambassador, Mr Flemming Bjork Pederson, who is retiring after 18 years of diplomatic assignments in Africa, expressed appreciation for the warm welcome Ghana extended to him during his five-year duty tour.
