A group of CPP faithful in New York and New Jersey have condemned the party’s flag-bearer’s walkout of Parliament during the ratification of the Vodafone-Ghana Telecom deal.

The group calling itself CPP-Ultra says the action of the flag-bearer was not the best especially at that crucial meeting.

In an interview with Asempa News, the General Secretary for the group, Prof. Ama Adumea Ohene described Dr. Nduom’s decision not to participate in the voting as “totally reprehensible.”

At a sitting of Parliament to ratify the documents to offload 70 per cent of government’s share in GT, the CPP flag-bearer, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom stepped out of the House citing extreme politicking of the agreement.

The General Secretary, however, served notice the CPP-Ultra fraternity would continue to register its protest against decisions that could derail the fortunes of the party.

Dr. Nduom has in recent times come under a barrage of criticism from within his party, a situation political pundits say might not augur well for a party undergoing a face-lift.

The most recent of some of the flag-bear's troubles has been a demand by a member of the Council of Elders of the CPP, Madam Lucy Anim, that Dr. Nduom clears himself of a report by the Serious Fraud Office (SFO)) that allegedly incriminated him.
