The NDC says it will sweep majority votes in Cape Coast in the upcoming December elections.

“We are very convinced that our performance will improve dramatically, and this is based on the discussions we had with people and the commitment they openly and privately made to Prof. Mills”

“If we relate the attitude, responses, level of enthusiasm and open declaration of support and compare that to the 2000 and 2004 election Prof. Mills is convinced about winning the region,” Mahama Ayariga spokesperson of Prof Atta Mills said in an interview with Joy news’ Akwasi Sarpong.

He however conceded the party was yet to conduct more scientific research in order to arrive at a firm conclusion.

He said Prof. Mills undertook a thorough assessment of the needs of the various constituencies in his campaign tour and made firm commitments to meet those needs.

This, he said has improved the approval rating of the NDC which will translate into votes in December.

The NDC performed abysmally in the last election, winning two of the 19 seats in the region.

Prof Mills has promised to review petroleum prices as well as the activities of pair trawlers along the coast if voted into power in December.

Prof. Mills has since returned to Accra, to begin preparations for the next round of his campaign tours.
