Players of Ghana's Black Queens would each be 9,000 dollars richer if they won their group matches and moved to the next stage of the two-week competition.
The players were reported to have been promised the sums prior to their Group B opening game against Mali.
Each player, according to a close source to the team, was to receive 3,000 dollars winning bonus per match in the preliminaries.
Camaroun, who they meet on Wednesday, and the Democratic Republic of Congo are in the Queens' group.
A new package would be announced for the next stage of the competition. The Queens won 1-0 against Mali on Sunday through a second half strike from Ramanatu Tahiru and another win on Wednesday will mean an automatic qualification to the semi finals.
The win has put the Queens on top of the group with three points after DR Congo and Cameroun drew one all in their opening game.
Meanwhile coach Isaac Paha, in charge of the team, said on Sunday that he was looking ahead to the encounter against Cameroon with hope.
After the victory over Mali, Paha remains convinced his side would emerge victorious on Wednesday when they meet the physical Cameroonians.
The coach told GNA Sports on Sunday that his focus was to use the days leading to the game to seal any loopholes to ensure the Queens record their second win.
Coach Paha said, "There are a few corrections here and there and we will go back to the drawing board to ensure we come out a lot better in the next game".
"The team did not play 100 per cent to my instructions but I cannot ask for more since we got the three points". The coach claimed he did not miss the services of former players like ace goalkeeper Maimunatu Sulemana and experienced defender Elizabeth Baidoo though many felt the goalie's absence was felt.
The Queens are making a fifth attempt at gold after four consecutive appearance in the championship.
Host Super Falcons of Nigeria have won all four previous competitions.
