Black Stars forward and Enyimba legend Joetex Frimpong is reported to be considering an offer from African Champions Al Ahly of Egypt.

"Al Ahly are a big club, which is very popular in Africa and beyond. However, to take me out of Sfaxien, they have to make a good offer. If they come with a good offer, I am ready to go,“ the Ghana international exclusively told sources from Monastir, where his Tunisian club CS Sfaxien are training ahead of their crucial domestic cracker against Tunis rivals, Esperance Sportive.

Reports in both North African countries had indicated the readiness of Al Ahly managed by Portugal's Jose Manuel to grab the Ghanaian star. In fact, officials of both clubs are presently working on the possibility of a transfer as soon as possible.

He added: "My teammates told me about Al Ahly's interest and it's the subject of discussion here. I am happy that my impressive performance for Sfaxien has led to enquiries about me."

The former Enyimba forward joined Sfaxien this season and boosted their quest for the Champions League. He scored three goals in eight Champions League matches for the Tunisians and played a key role in their first ever Champions League final.

Ahly defeated his team 2-1 on aggregate to win the 2006 CAF Champions League. Frimpong, who played in the Egypt 2006 Africa Nations Cup scored Sfaxien's equalizer in Cairo.

If the move is completed, he would become the second Ghanaian in the team. Ahly already have another Ghanaian, Akwetey Mensah.
