Will Portsmouth be new home for Ghana’s Sulley Muntari?

English Premier side Portsmouth are reported to be almost home with the signing of Ghanaian World Cup star Sulley Muntari.

The aggressive midfielder who packs a lot of power in his left leg and currently with Italian side Udinese could be heading to Portsmouth in January.

The Ghana international is a confirmed target for Pompey boss Harry Redknapp and Udinese are said to be planning to sign a replacement.

Already Esbjerg midfielder Niki Zimling is being lined up by the Italian club as the likely replcement for Muntari, who is back in Ghana on holiday and expected to feature in a charity game pitching Ghanaian internationals on holiday and those retired from active play.

Tony Yeboah, Tony Baffoe, Gerald Asamoah of the German national side, Laryea Kingston, Mohammed Gargo, Odartey Lamptey and Baba Adamu Armando would all be featuring in the December 30th game in Sekondi.
