Former Black Stars Captain Tony Baffoe and colleague Tony Yeboah will raise teams each to play a Charity match on Saturday 30th December.

The two players will have a pool of Ghana’s professional players who are currently on Holidays to choose from. The match to be played at the Sekondi Gyandu Park has been tagged the Tony Baffoe XI and Tony Yeboah XI.

Anthony Baffoe who doubles as the coordinator of the programme explained that he and his colleagues were moved by the plight of the disadvantaged in the society and thus have taken the initiative as a way of giving back to society.

Several of the stars including Augustine Arhinful, Sulley Muntari, Laryea Kingston and Mohammed Gargo have pledged their support and their preparedness to grace the occasion.

In a related development, premier league club Ashgold will take advantage of the presence of the stars in the country to play a trial match at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi. The game which will come on a day after the selected foreign based players play in Sekondi is aimed at raising funds for Victims of HIV/AIDS.
