An America based Non Governmental Organization, Forever Young has handed sports facilities worth $100,000 to Golden Sunbeam Montessori School at Adenta.

The facilities include a synthetic soccer pitch, tennis and basketballs’ courts and they are aimed at improving sport activities in the school.

Mr Sterling Tanner, President of Forever Young said the project, the first of its kind outside the US, is in fulfillment of a request from the school authorities.
He explained that his organization, which specializes in the welfare of children through education, sports and health, would help the children achieve some of those goals.

Mr Tanner said his outfit will do more to help in the development of the school after the construction of a nine unit classroom block valued at $100,000.

The Director of the school, Mr Emmanuel Ohene Opare thanked Forever Young for the donation and promised that the facility will be put to good use.

He presented two specially designed plaques to the NGO and Rhinos Sports, the company installing the facility, while announcing a new identity of the school’s sports team as Sunbeam Rhinos.

John Shaffer, President of Rhinos Sports assured that the facilities would be installed by the close of the week, to pave way for usage by the pupils.

The Golden Sunbeam School established 18 years ago, has a student population of 380.
