Kama Industries Limited has presented assorted drugs worth five million cedis( 500 Ghana Cedis) to the National Sports Council (NSC) in Accra.

The items included 72 bottles of Omega Oil Liniment, Artesunate Amodiaquine, Dicronim and Disinfectants.

Nana Kofi Asiedu Appiah, Production Pharmacist of the Company who made the presentation on behalf of the company said the donation forms part of the company’s desire to contribute their quota towards this year’s All African Games and also support the development of sports in the country.

He expressed the hope that the donation will motivate the athletes participating in the All African Games in Algiers to put up their best performance and to strive to achieve excellence.

Prince Ernest Oduro-Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Council who received the donation on behalf of the Council thanked the company for their kind gesture and said it would go a long way in taking care of the first aid needs of the athletes.

He said the promotion and development of sports should not be the sole responsibility of the government alone and therefore called for the support and contributions of other corporate bodies and stakeholders to aid the various sporting disciplines.

Prince Oduro-Mensah gave the assurance that the items will be put to good use and also motivate the athletes to win more medals for the nation at the Games.
