The Dormaa Traditional Council has with immediate effect terminated the appointment of Mr. Kingsley Osei Bonsu, alias Zico, Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars Football Club, a First Division football club based at Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo Region.

In a letter signed by Mr. S. K. Korang, Assistant Registrar of the Council, it said Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, Omanhene of Dormaa Traditional Area and owner of the club thanked Mr. Bonsu for his “invaluable contributions to the Club and the entire Dormaaman”.

It said the Council wished the Chief Executive Officer success in all his future endeavours.

The letter was copied to the President of the Ghana Football Association, Chairman of the Division One League Board, Management Committee Members of Aduana Stars Football Club, the Chairman of the Supporters Union of Aduana Stars and the GNA Sports.

Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been engaged in yet another bitter tango over the signature of Aduana Stars’ player, Kofi Abanga.

While Hearts claimed to have secured the transfer of the player through the owner of the club, Kotoko said the Chief Executive had been their contact on transfer negotiation.
