Wa All Stars has been cleared to play in new Premier League season.

This follows the dismissal of a protest filed against the club by another first division side, Catholic Stars.

The Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee which was investigating the eligibility of Wa All Stars’ Joseph Asamani ruled today that there was no irregularity about the players’ registration.

The Committee further ruled that the result of the match between Catholic Stars and Wa All Stars some two months ago shall stand.

Wa All Stars, owned by the President of the Ghana Football Association, won a Middle League game for qualification to the Premiership by 2:0.

However, Joy Sports sources say the case is far from over as officials of Catholic Stars have already vowed to pursue the matter at a higher level. They are appealing against the decision.

Another club seeking qualification to the Premiership, Nania FC, owned by former national captain, Abedi Ayew Pele, is in court seeking to be accepted into the Premiership after the FA handed it disciplinary sanctions that denied them premiership status.

The club is accused of engaging in a match of convenience.
