Starlets Captain Paul Addo has given positive assurance that the team would beat Columbia on Sunday and progress to the next stages and possibly lift the cup.

He said; "We are not prepared to go home now and the only way we can continue to stay in the competition is to score against Columbia no matter what."

Addo told the GNA Sports in Ulsan, the city of Hyundai cars, that over determination might have caused them during their match against Germany, which they lost 2-3.

"The way we are worried, we know that Ghanaians are equally worried. There is no easy road to success and I believe we are on a successful road and God would listen to our prayers," he said.

Addo said the team would do everything possible to revive hopes of Ghanaians by beating Columbia on Sunday.

He said; "The whole world has seen the way we played and it would be sad if we allow Columbia to score us. We want to be part of history makers in terms of juvenile soccer in Ghana and our early exit
would be a disaster for we the players but not Ghana as a country."

Paul Addo said since the team had no option than to win on Sunday, even if half a goal would be accepted they would work hard for it to ensure their qualification into the next stage.

Saddique Adam who also spoke to the GNA Sports said playing alone could not give them the surest win but prayers.

He said, "Prayers can also help us to win and no matter how well we played, without calling on God our efforts may yield nothing.”

He called on Ghanaians to devote Saturday night and pray for them towards their Sunday encounter so that they would annex the three maximum points since he did not know where a draw would push them to.
