The latest FIFA’s ranking released on Wednesday, September 19 has Ghana continuing her slip down the ladder.

The country is now at an abysmal 45th, two spots further down from the 43rd position in August. The ranking also now puts Ghana as 9th best on the continent, a position she previously led at 2nd position in May after Cameroon.

Nigeria 23rd in the world, leads the field on the continent, followed by Cameroun who are 25 worldwide and then Cote d’Ivoire, who are also 27th in the world. Guinea (30), Tunisia (37), Morocco (38), Senegal (40), Egypt (43), Ghana (45) and Mali (49) complete Africa’s best 10 on the ladder.

Italy is back in pole position as the world’s number one, followed by Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, England and Croatia.
