Ghanaian striker Prince Tagoe scored what appears to be the 'Goal of the Season' in Saudi Arabia last Tuesday night.

The superb fifth minute goal ensured that his club AI Ittifaq came away with a 2-2 draw against giants AI-Ahli in the country's top league.

Tagoe grabbed the opener when, with his back to goal, he scored with a wonderful scissor kick.

The Ghanaian striker was unlucky in the second half when he swivelled only to see his effort palmed away by the ‘keeper of the home side.

The goal kept him on the top of the Saudi scorers' chart with five goals after seven matches.

Al Ittifaq are still third on the league table but the club from Damman have two matches in hand.

Meanwhile, the Ghanaian player is expected to travel to UAE next week to receive an award and a cash prize of $10,000 for scoring the 'Goal of the Season' in that country last year.

A fantastic solo effort from Tagoe in the Gulf country last season earned him the award.

The striker, who left UAE side AI Shabab to join AI Ittifaq this season, sprinted from the halfway line to score the breathtaking goal.

A defender tried in vain to stop him, as the forward smashed a great shot past the 'keeper.
