Real Sportive settle for a 1-1 scoreline with King Faisal

Tema Real Sportive settled for a 1-1 drawn game with Kumasi-based King Faisal in their Onetouch Premier League match at the renovated Tema Sports Stadium.

Playing on the newly-refurbished artificial turf, Sportive carried the game to their opponents’ right from the kick-off and nearly went ahead in the 15th minute but Shadrack Dozi fumbled in front of goal.

Faisal warmed into the game but Alhaji Alhassan in a good position to find the opener in the 36th minute but he also fumbled in front of goal.

Sportive returned the heat once again on their opponents and went ahead to score the match opener in the 44th minute through enterprising Mohammed Yakubu when his low grounder beat goal keeper Osei Boateng.

Both teams resumed the second session with greater determination but it was King Faisal who got the last laugh when substitute Abedi Sarfo scored the much-needed equalizer with a well taken free-kick in the 62nd minute.

Sportive nearly scored the match winner in the 80th minute but Eric Owusu failed to score as he messed up a good scoring chance but try as both teams tried they failed to score till the final whistle.
