The Acting Chief Executive of Westel, Ursula Owusu says the company will roll out its mobile telephoning service and several other services by early next year.

The state-owned Westel will be granted a license on Tuesday to become a network provider for mobile phones competing alongside other brands like Areeba, TIGO, One Touch and Kasapa.

Westel is currently being prepared for divestiture and Ms Owusu explained that the issuance of the mobile telephoning license would make the telecommunications company even more attractive.
