Naa Sididki Bome Ceremonial Park to receive facelift

A number of structures are being constructed at the Naa Sidiki Bome ceremonial park at Wa, the capital of the Upper West Region to give the Park a facelift.

The structures, which are estimated to cost ˘4.3bn, include a VIP stand, two spectator stands a media stand and a cafeteria.

The Regional Minister, Ambrose Dery, accompanied of the consultant to the project S.O. Afram, has inspected the progress of work on the structures which are being put up to commemorate the golden jubilee celebrations.

Mr. Dery expressed satisfaction with the work done so far. He urged the contractors to speed up so that the facilities will be used on the 6th of March 2007 for the usual parade of school children.

Mr. Dery announced that in addition to the structure, each district in the Region is going to be provided with a model day nursery and primary school as commemorative structures of the Ghana at 50 celebrations.

The consultant, S.O. Afram, also expressed satisfaction with the quality of work which he said is 70% complete.
