The Digital Skills Training by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in partnership with Digital Transformation Center (DTC) Ghana and partners centres are set to train 1,200 women across the country.
During a two-month intensive, systematic and concerted training, organisers will work with and train participants in more than ten communities in Ghana.

The scope of the training was curated after a comprehensive needs-based assessment was conducted in the targeted areas.
The course structure is tailored to the needs of the communities and participants.

It will provide an enabling environment and opportunities for participants to practice and explore more in terms of digital skills adaption
DTC Ghana’s goal for the program is to expand the digital knowledge within the communities to enhance the standard of living through technology.

The program will also increase their attractiveness to employers in the long run and will set the right path for women with entrepreneurial drive, especially in rural areas.

Women and girls across the country are now encouraged to register and be part of this life-changing initiative.
Background
The Digital Transformation Center (DTC) Ghana is a flagship project spearheaded by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), aimed at supporting technological transformation processes on the African continent.
DTC’s main aim is to support digital innovation efforts in rural areas through training programs, mentoring support, and networks.
The Digital Transformation Center offers digital skills training in a systematic and concerted effort to empower women, girls, youth, and people with disabilities and to bridge the digital divide between rural and urban areas.
The project also hosts an exemplary initiative to combat exclusion and counter gender disparity in the digital technology domain dubbed #eSkills4Girls.
