Ghana’s Nubia Adjei and Harry Stacey are set to represent the country at the upcoming 16th Africa Aquatics Swimming and Open Water Championships, to be held in Luanda, Angola.
The duo are expected to arrive in the country this weekend as they aim to surpass their personal bests and compete for honours at the event, scheduled for April 30th to May 5th.
Nubia, a national record holder in the 100m Women's Backstroke who also participated in the 13th African Games, will compete in her signature event as well as the 50m backstroke and 50m freestyle.
Budding talent Harry will also aim to make his mark in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, and 50m butterfly events.
Ghana secured a gold medal at the previous edition in Tunisia, thanks to talisman Abeku Jackson.
However, the 24-year-old will not be participating in the forthcoming competition as he is currently focusing on qualifying for the Olympic Games in Paris.
