Two officials of the National Communications Authority have been appointed as Chairman and Vice Chairman of 2 study groups of the World Telecommunications Standardization Assembly.
Principal Manager of Regulatory Administration at the NCA, Kwame Baah Acheamfour is to chair a team tasked to undertake studies on Quality of Service.
Isaac Boateng who is also Manager of Regulatory Administration at the NCA has also been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the study group for signaling.
Mr. Baah Acheamfour becomes the first African to lead a Study Group at the International Telecommunications Union and he tells JOY BUSINESS, he is ready for the challenge.
Kwame Baah Acheamfour is also tasked to develop standards for influencing the reversal on the ban of voice communications when driving and he says discussions will be held with vehicle manufacturers to address the issue.
